SWEATEMPLE frequently asked questions page

Account and Access

How do I create a SWEATEMPLE account?

Registration requires an email address and password. After creating an account, you will need to complete the claim process if you have an access credential from a public sale, invite, or referral. Visit the claim page for step-by-step activation guidance.

Can I use SWEATEMPLE without a wallet?

Basic account features are available without a wallet connection, but full platform access - including marketplace activity, progression verification, and claim processes - requires a compatible wallet. The wallet is used for identity verification and transaction recording, not for storing cryptocurrency balances.

What if I forget my account credentials?

Account recovery follows a standard email-based process. If your account is linked to a wallet, maintaining access to that wallet is also important for verifying ownership. If you lose access to both your account email and wallet, contact support with whatever identifying information you can provide.

Ride Modes and Sessions

What ride modes are available?

SWEATEMPLE currently offers solo structured sessions, competitive arena mode, and Cyclum environment-based rides. Each mode has its own pacing structure and progression mechanics. The game modes page covers each in detail.

How long is a typical session?

Sessions range from 15 minutes to over an hour depending on the selected template. Most riders use sessions between 20 and 45 minutes during regular training. The session library includes options for short recovery rides, standard training sessions, and extended endurance formats.

Can I create my own sessions?

Yes, through the Create and Earn system. Riders who meet minimum training history requirements can design class templates, playlists, and session structures using the platform’s creation tools. See the Create and Earn page for details.

Does the platform track heart rate?

The core progression system uses cadence and resistance data from the bike. Heart rate monitor support is available as an optional addition for riders who want richer session data, but it is not required for progression.

Hardware and Setup

What bikes are compatible with SWEATEMPLE?

Any indoor cycling bike with Bluetooth Low Energy or ANT+ cadence and resistance sensors should work. The LIT Bike page covers specific hardware recommendations and connectivity guidance.

Why does my sensor keep disconnecting?

Sensor disconnections are usually caused by Bluetooth interference from nearby devices, low sensor battery, or distance between the bike and the receiving device. Move other Bluetooth devices away from your setup, check sensor batteries, and ensure clear line of sight between the bike and your display device.

Do I need a specific screen or display?

No specific screen is required. A tablet, laptop, or desktop monitor positioned at eye level while riding will work. Larger screens provide a more immersive experience during Cyclum sessions but are not required for core functionality.

Claim and Activation

What does claiming do?

Claiming connects your access credential to your platform account. Until you claim, platform features remain inactive. The claim page covers the full process.

My claim failed. What do I do?

Check that your wallet is connected to the correct network, that you are using the same wallet that received your credential, and that the credential has not been previously claimed. If the issue persists, contact support with your wallet address and error details.

Can I transfer my claim to a different account?

No. Claims are permanent associations between a credential and an account. Once claimed, the association cannot be changed.

Marketplace

Is marketplace participation required?

No. The full ride experience, progression system, and session library are available without marketplace activity. The marketplace adds variety and customisation but is not mandatory.

How are marketplace items priced?

Items are valued in platform currency based on utility, category, and demand from active riders. The marketplace does not use external price feeds or cryptocurrency exchange rates.

Can I sell items I no longer want?

Exchange options may be available for certain item categories. Check the marketplace interface for current exchange functionality. Not all item types support resale.

Safety and Expectations

Is indoor cycling safe?

Indoor cycling is generally considered a low-impact cardiovascular activity. However, riders should ensure their bike is properly set up to avoid joint strain, stay hydrated during sessions, and consult a medical professional if they have pre-existing conditions that affect exercise capacity. The LIT Bike page covers fit and setup guidance that helps prevent common comfort issues.

Should I treat SWEATEMPLE as a medical device or health tracker?

No. SWEATEMPLE tracks cadence and resistance for platform progression purposes. It is not a medical device, does not provide health diagnoses, and should not replace professional medical advice about exercise capacity or health conditions.

What data does SWEATEMPLE collect?

The platform collects ride session data (cadence, resistance, duration), account information, and wallet addresses. It does not collect GPS data, biometric data beyond optional heart rate if connected, or health records. See the privacy page for full data handling details.

Technical and Compatibility

What internet speed do I need?

A standard broadband connection is sufficient. Cyclum environment rendering happens locally after initial asset loading, so continuous high-bandwidth is not required during rides. The initial session load may take longer on very slow connections.

Does the platform work offline?

Core ride functionality requires an active internet connection for session data recording and progression updates. Offline mode is not currently supported.

What blockchain does SWEATEMPLE use?

SWEATEMPLE uses IoTeX blockchain infrastructure for progression verification, asset management, and transaction processing. For more details about the technology stack, see the ecosystem page.
