These terms of use govern your access to and use of the SWEATEMPLE platform, website, and associated services. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Platform Description
SWEATEMPLE is an indoor cycling and digital fitness platform that provides structured ride sessions, progression tracking, marketplace features, and community content tools. The platform connects physical cycling effort to digital outcomes including progression tiers, marketplace access, and platform privileges.
Account Responsibilities
Account creation. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Each person may maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent platform rules or gain unfair advantages is prohibited.
Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and connected wallet. SWEATEMPLE is not liable for unauthorised access resulting from your failure to protect your login information or wallet private keys.
Wallet connection. Connecting a cryptocurrency wallet to your account is your voluntary action. You are responsible for maintaining access to your wallet and understanding how wallet transactions work. SWEATEMPLE does not have access to your wallet’s private keys and cannot recover lost wallet access.
Age requirement. You must be at least 16 years of age to use the platform. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the platform in accordance with its intended purpose as a fitness and training tool. The following activities are prohibited:
- Manipulating sensor data or session records to falsify training effort
- Using automated tools or scripts to simulate ride sessions
- Interfering with other riders’ sessions, accounts, or marketplace activity
- Attempting to exploit platform vulnerabilities or bypass security measures
- Using the platform for purposes unrelated to fitness training and legitimate platform participation
- Creating or distributing content that is harmful, abusive, or violates applicable laws
- Misrepresenting your identity, credentials, or platform achievements
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination at SWEATEMPLE’s discretion.
Ride Sessions and Progression
Effort-based system. Platform progression is driven by physical riding effort as measured by cadence and resistance sensors. The platform processes this data to determine progression outcomes. SWEATEMPLE reserves the right to adjust progression mechanics, tier requirements, and reward structures as the platform evolves.
Session data. Ride session data is processed and stored as described in the privacy policy. Session data accuracy depends on your hardware setup and sensor quality. SWEATEMPLE does not guarantee progression outcomes from sessions with unreliable or incompatible sensors.
No guaranteed outcomes. Progression mechanics, tier structures, and platform features may change. SWEATEMPLE does not guarantee specific outcomes from riding, progression investment, or platform participation.
Marketplace
Item descriptions. Marketplace items are described based on their platform function. SWEATEMPLE makes reasonable efforts to describe items accurately but does not guarantee that every item will meet every rider’s expectations.
Transactions. Marketplace transactions that occur on the blockchain are irreversible once confirmed. Ensure you understand what you are acquiring before confirming a transaction.
No external value guarantee. Digital items on the marketplace have utility within the SWEATEMPLE platform. SWEATEMPLE makes no representations about the external value, resale potential, or financial appreciation of marketplace items. Marketplace participation is not an investment activity.
Platform currency. Platform currency used in marketplace transactions is a functional medium of exchange within the SWEATEMPLE ecosystem. It is not a security, a store of value, or a financial instrument.
Content Creation
Rider-created content. Content submitted through Create and Earn becomes part of the SWEATEMPLE platform library. By submitting content, you grant SWEATEMPLE a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, display, distribute, and modify that content within the platform.
Ownership. You retain ownership of the creative elements of your submitted content but grant SWEATEMPLE the operational rights described above. SWEATEMPLE may remove content that violates platform standards, applicable laws, or these terms.
Content standards. Submitted content must not contain harmful, abusive, or illegal material. Content must be original or properly licensed for platform use. SWEATEMPLE reserves the right to review, modify, or remove submitted content at its discretion.
Intellectual Property
The SWEATEMPLE platform, including its interface design, ride environments, session templates, progression mechanics, and underlying technology, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without explicit permission.
The SWEATEMPLE name, logo, and brand elements are proprietary. You may not use them in ways that suggest endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without written permission.
Disclaimers
Fitness disclaimer. SWEATEMPLE is a fitness platform, not a medical service. Consult a medical professional before beginning any exercise programme, particularly if you have pre-existing health conditions. SWEATEMPLE is not responsible for injuries resulting from improper equipment use, overexertion, or pre-existing conditions.
Platform availability. SWEATEMPLE aims to maintain continuous platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance periods, technical issues, and external factors may cause temporary service disruptions.
Blockchain dependency. Platform features that rely on blockchain infrastructure are subject to the operational characteristics of the underlying blockchain network, including transaction confirmation times, network congestion, and protocol changes.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SWEATEMPLE’s liability for any claim arising from platform use is limited to the amount you paid directly to SWEATEMPLE in the 12 months preceding the claim. SWEATEMPLE is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
SWEATEMPLE may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or at its discretion with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your access to platform features ceases. Blockchain records of your activity remain on-chain as they are decentralised and outside any single party’s control.
You may close your account at any time through the contact page. Account closure removes your access to platform features and initiates deletion of your personal data from centralised systems as described in the privacy policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes arising from these terms or platform use will be resolved through the dispute resolution mechanism specified in the applicable jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
SWEATEMPLE may update these terms to reflect platform changes, legal requirements, or operational needs. Material changes will be communicated through platform notifications or email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
