This privacy policy explains how SWEATEMPLE collects, uses, stores, and protects information from riders and visitors who use the platform and website. It applies to all interactions with the SWEATEMPLE platform, including account creation, ride sessions, marketplace activity, claim processes, and general website browsing.
Information We Collect
SWEATEMPLE collects several categories of information depending on how you interact with the platform.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. If you connect a cryptocurrency wallet, we record the wallet address associated with your account. We do not collect your wallet’s private keys or seed phrases.
Ride session data. During ride sessions, the platform collects cadence data, resistance data, session duration, session type, and completion status from your connected bike sensors. This data drives progression tracking and platform features. We do not collect GPS location data, body composition data, or medical health data unless you explicitly connect optional health sensors.
Optional sensor data. If you choose to connect a heart rate monitor or other optional sensors, that data is collected during sessions and used for enriched session summaries. Optional sensor data connection is entirely at the rider’s discretion.
Device and browser information. When you access the platform, we collect standard technical information including browser type, browser version, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address. This information helps us maintain platform compatibility and diagnose technical issues.
Marketplace activity. Marketplace transactions, item acquisitions, and exchange activity are recorded both in our platform database and on the blockchain. Blockchain records are publicly visible and immutable by nature.
Communication data. If you contact support, submit feedback, or communicate with the SWEATEMPLE team, the content of those communications is stored for issue resolution and service improvement.
How We Use Your Information
Platform operation. Account information, ride session data, and wallet addresses are used to operate core platform features including progression tracking, session management, marketplace functionality, and claim verification.
Performance improvement. Aggregated and anonymised session data helps us understand how riders use the platform, which session types are most effective, and where the product experience needs improvement. Individual rider data is not shared in recognisable form for this purpose.
Support and communication. Contact information is used to respond to support requests, send account-related notifications, and communicate platform changes that affect your account.
Security and integrity. Technical data is used to protect the platform against unauthorised access, detect abnormal activity, and maintain service stability.
How We Store Your Information
Account and session data is stored on secured servers with access controls, encryption at rest, and encrypted transmission. We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Session data is retained to support long-term progression tracking, which is a core platform feature.
Blockchain records exist on the IoTeX blockchain and are stored according to that network’s decentralised architecture. These records are immutable and cannot be deleted by SWEATEMPLE or any other single party.
If you delete your account, we remove your account information and session data from our centralised systems. Blockchain records of progression milestones and marketplace transactions remain on-chain because they are decentralised records outside our control.
Information Sharing
We do not sell personal data. SWEATEMPLE does not sell, rent, or trade rider personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Service providers. We share limited data with infrastructure providers (hosting, blockchain nodes, email delivery) who need it to operate the platform on our behalf. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
Blockchain visibility. Wallet addresses and on-chain transaction data are publicly visible on the blockchain by design. This is inherent to blockchain architecture and cannot be restricted after transactions are recorded.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Your Rights
Access. You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction. You can request correction of inaccurate account information.
Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data from our centralised systems. Blockchain records cannot be deleted.
Data portability. You can request an export of your ride session data in a standard format.
Objection. You can object to specific data processing activities where applicable under your jurisdiction’s data protection laws.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the team through the contact page with your request and account identification details.
Cookies and Tracking
The SWEATEMPLE website uses essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
Analytics cookies, if used, collect anonymised usage data to help us understand how visitors navigate the site. These cookies do not identify individual visitors and can be disabled in your browser settings.
Children’s Privacy
SWEATEMPLE is not designed for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided personal information, we will delete that information promptly.

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in platform features, legal requirements, or data handling practices. Material changes will be communicated through platform notifications or email to registered account holders.
